Romanesque Church St Julien
Romanesque Church St Julien was built in 11th-century. It restored jewel with frescoes, chapels, and annual August patronal mass.
Romanesque Church St Julien, dating from the 11th century, served as the parish church of Sennecey until 1830. Having become too small, it fell into disrepair, and the nave was even sold to a private individual in 1865. Returned to the municipality in 1956, it has been restored over the years, and we can now discover this jewel of Romanesque art, where one can admire a series of magnificent frescoes and three chapels, two of which were once private residences. A mass is celebrated there every year on the last Sunday of August for the traditional patronal feast of Saint Julian. The church is open to visitors every day from June 1st until Heritage Days.
