Queen's Well Sens
Queen's Well Sens is a circular stone well topped by a double-dome cap and a carved stone sphere. It is still equipped with a wooden drum and crank.
Queen's Well Sens is located in the small hamlet of Sens. It is a heavy double stone dome sits above a round base, crowned by a carved sphere. Flanked by three upright rounded stones, the well retains its original wooden drum and metal crank, showing how water was once drawn by hand. A metal-pumping handle on the façade was used to elevate water, although the red paint of the wrought iron has mostly worn away.
